Educated through high school near London, then BS in Ag Economics (Illinois) and MS in Enology (Davis) with Viticulture at Santa Rosa & Napa JCs. Over 30 years in the wine business, mostly in California (Napa and Sonoma) plus Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and New Zealand. Almost went into the beer industry, but liked fresh air too much to leave the field (!). Now the VESTA Coordinator for Minnesota at Central Lakes College in Staples, and teaches the Fruit Wine Production online class in spring and fall. Lives in Brainerd next to a lake with MN wife and last of three children, two small dogs and a large mostly antisocial cat.
